Background of PCR cosmetic packaging

● In 2018, the General Office of the State Council issued a notice on restricting the production, sales, and use of plastic shopping bags. Starting from June 1, the production, sales, and use of ultra-thin plastic bags were prohibited nationwide, and a system of paid use of plastic bags was implemented.

● On January 16, 2020, the National Development and Reform Commission, in collaboration with the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, issued the "Opinions on Further Strengthening the Control of Plastic Pollution", requiring that by 2025, the management system for the production, circulation, consumption, and recycling and disposal of plastic products be improved, and the use of non degradable plastics be gradually prohibited and restricted.

● In May 2018, the European Commission first proposed the "strictest plastic restrictions in history". The proposal was approved by member states in October of the same year with an overwhelming vote of 571 in favor and 35 against.

● It can be seen that protecting the ecological environment for sustainable development has become a global consensus, and the recycling and reuse of packaging materials is currently one of the important ways to solve such problems.
